We are seeking a skilled Surgical Nurse Circulator to join our team at Williamson Medical Center. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating surgical patient care in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients, utilizing skills of observation, communication, and examination.
- Develop age-specific plans of care for each patient, identifying problems/needs and communicating nursing plans to the healthcare team.
- Anticipate and provide equipment and supplies in a timely manner, maintaining a sterile field and adhering to aseptic practice principles.
- Monitor and control the OR Suite environment, maintaining traffic patterns and adhering to OR sanitation policies.
- Handle, transport, store, prepare, and administer medications and solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Facilitate staff development, assist with the orientation and training of new personnel, and participate in the development of educational programs for coworkers.
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
- Previous surgery experience.
- BLS within 90 days of hire.
The Surgical Nurse Circulator will work in a fast-paced surgical unit with a patient population ranging from less than one year of age to ninety-nine plus years of age. The ability to work well under pressure, function independently, and be flexible in applying basic nursing knowledge to various settings is essential.
