ResponsibilitiesSummary:
The Human Resources Specialist will oversee the daily operations of the Human Resources (HR) department, which includes recruiting and interviewing personnel, managing benefits, and enforcing organizational policies and practices.
- Addresses employment-related inquiries from candidates, employees, and supervisors, directing complex and/or sensitive issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Facilitates new hire orientation and employee recognition initiatives.
- Conducts recruitment, interviews, and assists in the hiring process of qualified candidates for available positions; collaborates with departmental leaders to identify necessary skills and competencies for vacancies.
- Performs background checks and verifies employee eligibility.
- Assists in educating and enrolling employees in all available company benefit programs.
- Executes routine tasks essential for administering and implementing human resource programs, including disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and investigations; performance and talent management; employee recognition, morale, and training and development.
- Monitors, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and optional training requirements.
- May participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Ensures adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; recommends best practices; reviews policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
- Stays informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of three years of experience in human resources is preferred.
- At least two years of experience in benefits administration is preferred.
