About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist/Counselor to join our team at Saint Francis Ministries. As a licensed clinical therapist, you will play a vital role in providing intensive in-home counseling services to families in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based, therapeutic services to children and families in their homes
  • Engage families in services through assessments and psychoeducation on early care and development
  • Advocate for families through team meetings and court hearings
  • Establish and maintain positive community relations with other professionals
  • Meet with supervisor weekly to review cases and develop as a leader
  • Work in a supportive team setting with fellow staff
  • Carry a caseload of 4-8 families, spending an average of 2-4 hours per week with each family
  • Provide 24/7 crisis intervention for referred families through an on-call rotation
  • Complete required training to stay up-to-date on therapeutic practices
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Counseling from an accredited college or university
  • Licensed or provisionally licensed to practice Mental Health Counseling in the State of Nebraska
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must pass a drug screen, Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Background Check, and other background checks required by the contract
  • Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle
  • Lifting requirement of 30 – 50 pounds
