Director of Latina Futures 2050 Lab

The Regents of the University of California on behalf of their Los Angeles Campus seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Director of Latina Futures 2050 Lab. This is a one-year contract position with potential for renewal.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage a broad range of programmatic activities to ensure the Lab meets its intended impact and project goals.
- Design and implement initiatives to increase knowledge and insight through applied policy research on the contours of the economic, political, and social lives of Latinas in the U.S.
- Provide a Latina lens to policy challenges and opportunities to inform a robust policy-making audience in and beyond California.
- Evolve the California Latino Legislative Caucus' Unseen Latinas Initiative and Assembly Select Committee on Latina Inequities through the 2050 Lab with a direct feedback loop to the State of California.
- Perform ad hoc duties for the CSRC and LPPI in alignment with overall job responsibilities.
- Excellent follow through skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and deadline focused.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work closely across organization with other departments and with multiple levels.
- Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality.
- Must have excellent people skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
- Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
- A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment.
- The position is funded by federal contracts/subcontracts requiring UCLA to notify job applicants that an E-Verify check will be conducted and the successful candidate(s) must pass the E-Verify check.
