Key Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted HSE support to our business areas, offering pragmatic and actionable advice, guidance, and expertise in areas such as Occupational Health and Safety, Fire Safety, Health and Wellbeing, Process Safety Management, Continual Improvement, and Emergency Planning.
  • Develop and implement company processes to ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, and company policy standards.
  • Advise on the practical application of these standards within the business, helping to ensure adherence at all levels.
  • Support the business in identifying, generating, and implementing learning opportunities that drive continuous improvement across HSE areas.
  • Provide positive influence and leadership across our sites to enhance HSE standards and promote a culture of safety and compliance.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or commitment to obtain)
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or commitment to obtain)
  • Recognised internal (or higher) auditor training (or commitment to obtain)
  • Additional qualifications as required by departmental competence needs
  • Proven experience in providing HSE-related advice within an industrial environment
  • Experience working with and/or developing Integrated Management Systems
  • Experience in high-hazard industries such as nuclear or COMAH
  • Experience leading or participating in audits and/or investigations
  • Ability to work independently, managing and prioritising your own workload
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of relevant site legislation (e.g., Ionising Radiations Regulations, Nuclear Installations Act, etc.)
