About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic team at the City of Wenatchee. As a key member of the HR Department, you will play a critical role in supporting our employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruit and select candidates for job openings, ensuring a diverse and talented pool of applicants.
  2. Administer benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, and FSA/HSA plans.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee personnel actions, including performance evaluations, promotions, and terminations.
  4. Conduct exit interviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure a positive employee experience.
  5. Develop and implement procedures to improve recruitment processes, reduce turnover, and enhance employee engagement.
  6. Collaborate with hiring officials to develop interview questions, prepare interview guides, and conduct reference checks.
  7. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to workers' compensation, ADA, and EEO.
  8. Track and report on employee service milestones, prepare anniversary notices, and update employee records accordingly.
  9. Serve as the City-wide safety program Secretary, maintaining records of safety meeting minutes and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  10. Research and coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  11. Administer DOT new hire and random testing programs, ensuring timely and accurate processing of test results.
  12. Process position authorization and personnel action forms, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  13. Create and maintain operational files, reports, and electronic records, ensuring compliance with record retention requirements.
  14. Track, report, and post regulatory information, ensuring employees are informed of changes and updates.

Salary: $62,000 - $82,000 per year, depending on experience
