Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement staffing plans to ensure optimal coverage and minimize overtime.
  • Delegate duties and responsibilities to qualified employees, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

  • Assist in budgetary preparations, ensuring fiscal responsibility and compliance.
  • Provide leadership and direction towards departmental goals and objectives, aligning with the Medical Center's mission and vision.
  • Interpret and communicate departmental policies, procedures, and philosophies to employees, patients, and families.
  • Recruit, interview, and select department employees, providing orientation and training to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Monitor supply expenditures, revenue, and expenses, ensuring budgetary compliance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure the best possible outcomes for the Medical Center.
  • Ensure vendor compliance with Medical Center and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize the utilization of new products and technologies.
  • Conduct comparison studies and develop uniformity between campuses.
  • Document and compile statistical data, providing insights for quality improvement and strategic planning.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with established HRS/JCAHO requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing Quality Control programs and procedures, ensuring excellence in patient care.
  • Disseminate pertinent departmental information to staff, promoting a culture of transparency and open communication.
  • Review and monitor the department charge master, staying current with coding changes.
  • Act as liaison to physicians' billing staff, office staff, and Medical Director, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Prepare and distribute daily workload volume reports to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • R.C.D.S. licensure/registration/certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or equivalent, with proficiency in English, typing, and computer operation
  • 3 years of managerial/supervisory experience in a related field, with effective communication and leadership skills
