Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Support the installation, servicing, and repair of mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Operations Management: Plan, organize, and direct manufacturing and maintenance operations to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Cost Control: Develop and implement plans to minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of resources, including manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize working knowledge of electrical systems, including control and industrial wiring, pip fitting, plumbing, welding, shop machinery, sheet metal, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls, and instrumentation to maintain plant equipment at optimal levels.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Maintain plant preventative maintenance records and send out maintenance schedules on a weekly basis.
  • Facilities Management: Responsible for all physical plant facilities, systems, and equipment.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and monitor issues as they arise and implement solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in the ongoing support of the Processing Operating System and ensure safety compliance for buildings, equipment, and staff.
  • Policy Enforcement: Interpret and enforce company policy and practices.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain production equipment in a manner that meets organization standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years maintenance experience, preferably in a food processing plant or a highly regulated large industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Skills: Proven knowledge of preventative maintenance, Powerhouse, facilities, equipment, machinery, refrigeration, pipe fitting, plumbing, welding, shop machinery, sheet metal, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls, and instrumentation, as well as PLC controls in a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership and people management skills in a high-paced, multicultural environment.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
