Construction Laborer

Turner Construction is seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team. As a Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for performing physical labor tasks at construction project sites.

• Review job site needs with Foreman and Superintendents to comprehend scopes of work.
• Perform physical labor tasks, including clean-up, carpentry, site logistics, and other assignments as directed.
• Inventory supplies and order re-stocking as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Turner standards, safety codes, and regulations.
• Display teamwork, integrity, commitment, and leadership in daily operations.
• Participate in daily Pre-Task Plans and follow safety expectations.
• Perform selected demolition and participate in activities of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Review project perimeter for security and cleanliness daily.
• Perform fire watch duties and construct scaffolding as needed.
• Manage dumpster vendor schedule and maintain dumpster areas.
• Perform as spotter for heavy equipment operators.
• Ensure security of equipment and work area.
• Identify, communicate, and escalate problems and issues to supervisor.
• Track production of completed tasks.
• Assist other craft workers as directed.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, and employees.

• Minimum 1 year of general construction industry experience required.
• Proficient knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction.
• Ability to understand and interpret construction contract documents and project schedule.
• Knowledge of machines and tools for uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Proficient use of related tools to complete work assignments.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply arithmetic and basic geometry to work tasks.
• Ability to measure, read, and convey lengths with high degree of accuracy.
• Able to think critically and use good judgment to solve problems.
• Ability to take direction, work independently, and in team environment.
• Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Ability to travel using various modes and accommodate night and weekend work as needed.
