This includes supervising student-facing staff, reviewing eligibility determinations, and providing recommendations for accommodations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in disability services, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
Responsibilities- Supervise and mentor student-facing staff to ensure high-quality case management services.
- Review eligibility determinations and provide recommendations for accommodations.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to implement approved accommodations and services.
- Develop and implement effective departmental onboarding programs for new hires.
- Present on behalf of Disability Services at workshops and seminars.
- Provide training and consultation to faculty and staff on disability awareness and reasonable accommodations.
- Bachelor's degree in Counselor Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Special Education, or related field.
- 5 years of experience working directly with individuals with disabilities in a university or similar setting.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Expertise in evaluating disability documentation and determining eligibility for services and accommodations.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
- Master's degree in Counselor Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Special Education, or closely related field.
- Experience with disability accommodations and services for graduate and professional students in higher education.
