Healthcare Support Specialist

As a Healthcare Support Specialist at Henry Ford Hospital, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with patient care activities, ensuring the highest level of comfort and well-being for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with procedures ordered by physicians and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Accommodate patients with tending to personal care, activities of daily living, and transfers/transport.
- Report findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Assist with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.
Work Schedule:
PRN/Contingent - 7a-7p, 3 - 12 hr shifts in a 6-week period, 2 or 3 shifts must be a weekend. Holidays per unit-based rotation.
Requirements:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Any issuing authority accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
