The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trial Attorney to join its team. As a Trial Attorney, you will be responsible for defending the Commonwealth of Virginia, its agencies and departments, and its officials and employees in state and federal courts.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Defend the Commonwealth of Virginia, its agencies and departments, and its officials and employees in state and federal courts.
  • Litigate cases involving personal injury torts, alleged violations of constitutional rights, and other civil matters.
  • Draft pleadings and briefs, conduct all aspects of discovery, and provide legal advice to clients through the course of litigation, court appearances, and trial and appellate work.
  • Manage a diverse and challenging caseload, prioritize tasks, and work well under pressure.
  • Supervise and assist other team members as needed.

**Requirements**

  • Admission to the Virginia State Bar is required.
  • A minimum of three to five years of civil litigation experience in federal or state court is preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in time management, and the ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and adjust priorities without close supervision.
