Facilities Director Position

The Maricopa Community College District is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Director to provide strategic leadership and vision for the Facilities Department. This key role will be responsible for developing and implementing college-wide facilities and grounds planning and solutions to support the college mission and strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with executive and college leadership to identify current and projected facility needs, as well as opportunities to enhance services and solutions for students, faculty, and staff.
- Ensure management of facilities infrastructure, grounds remodeling, and major maintenance needs are met, and solutions and services support and meet the needs of students, faculty, staff, and community members.
- Supervise facilities personnel and provide professional development options, guiding the Facilities leadership team in deriving and achieving performance expectations and execution of organizational skills development strategies.
- Ensure efficacy of facilities operational strategies and practices, manage organizational budget, and ensure adherence to fiscally responsible practices throughout the department.
- Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field.
- Six years of progressively responsible facilities planning, maintenance, and operations experience, including two years of management and supervisory experience in public facilities management.
- Five or more years of demonstrated Facilities operations-focused management experience.
- Five or more years of demonstrated experience procuring or overseeing the procurement of facilities infrastructure needs for the campus and managing facility service providers.
- Five or more years of demonstrated experience developing and administering facility and capital budgets.
