Job Overview

Position Summary

With minimal oversight, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist executes fundamental Nuclear Medicine tasks as directed by a certified physician.
Utilizes professional discernment in delivering healthcare services to aid in the diagnosis or treatment of patients across all age demographics, from infants to seniors.
Proficient in the domain of Nuclear Medicine.
Completes the required competencies for the role within the specified introductory timeframe.
Additional related responsibilities may be assigned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine apparatus.
  • Supports the practitioner in the use of radiation detection instruments.
  • Requests radiopharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine tasks and prepares them for administration via injection, ingestion, or inhalation.
  • Recognizes radioactive materials to finalize procedures.
  • Processes and archives images as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
  • Preferred experience of 1-3 years.
  • ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine or CNMT.
  • BLS certification.
  • State licensure if mandated.
