Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a standardized methodology and best practices for which the existing and future code will be based upon.
  • Review and refactor existing code in order to bring the code in line with the standardized methodology and best practices.
  • Work with business users to determine what efficiencies in their work processes and workflow could be enhanced thru new programs and existing technologies.
  • Write code for any new projects identified as be cost effective and beneficial to the business.
  • Serve as a technical resource with regards to possible projects that could be undertaken to increase the business units efficiencies and effectiveness in a cost effective manner.
Requirements:
  • 3 years of experience writing code in a modern scripting language.
  • 2 years of writing SQL code in a modern database environment, preferably SQLite.
  • Experience in writing code that interacts with Excel and other Microsoft products.
  • Experience working in a Windows environment.
  • Results oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work with business users to accurately assess the needs of those users.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work and excel in a team environment while also possessing the skill to work by oneself.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and develop solutions to address situations that are less than optimal.
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail while at the same time being able to pull back and see the larger picture.
  • Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening.
  • Great customer service and interpersonal skills.
