Ride Control Systems Supervisor

As a Ride Controls Supervisor at Cedar Point, you will lead the controls team to maintain and troubleshoot ride and attraction control systems. Your expertise in industrial electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems will be essential in evaluating equipment control systems and determining upgrades to rides and attractions based on cost and impact to the park's financials.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead assigned crew in monitoring, maintenance, and repair of ride and attraction control systems.
• Ensure all documentation is completed fully in a professional and timely manner, including preventative maintenance checklists prior to ride operation.
• Supervise subordinate crew members with the assistance of the foreperson, including training, scheduling, instruction, assigning, reviewing, and planning work of others.
• Timekeeping of employee schedules within the Cedar Point timekeeping system.
• Analyze ride and attraction reliability to develop and implement short- and long-range ride maintenance and repair plans.
• Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting ride and attraction control systems during the operating season.
• Ensure the proper maintenance and safe operating condition of all assigned equipment.
• Conduct safety meetings and safety inspections of equipment.
• Receive and respond to inquiries, concerns, and complaints from associates and guests regarding ride safety and maintenance.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree or vocational degree preferred.
• Valid US driver's license.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of industrial electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to use meters, gauges, measuring devices, PLC programming software, and various other hand and power tools.
• Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
• Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, per company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
