Job Title: Materials Coordinator

Join UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper as a Materials Coordinator and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facilities. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for facilitating the distribution of supplies, serving as a purchasing/supply resource to hospital staff, and performing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and stock assigned supply locations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of supplies.
  • Process departmental requisitions electronically to ensure accurate and efficient ordering.
  • Receive, process returns, and maintain par levels to ensure optimal inventory management.
  • Replenish code carts and maintain supply database to reflect items additions/deletions and par level adjustments.
  • Ensure organization and cleanliness within inventory supply rooms to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Maintain all required competencies to ensure compliance with hospital and departmental policies.
  • Perform other Materials Management functions as requested by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience required, with previous healthcare experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a stressful and fast-paced environment resulting from unit demands.
  • Ability to learn inventory control software system and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions:

The job requires constant sitting, standing, walking, and bending/stooping. Frequent repetitive body movements. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally. For any weight over 35 lbs. use Safe Handling Equipment.
