**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Therapist to join our team at a Jr. High School in Des Plaines, IL.

This full-time position will begin ASAP and continue through June 2025. The SLP will work with a caseload of approximately 40 middle school students, including those in special education programs (Cross-Categorical, grades 6-8).

The primary responsibility of the SLP will be to assess, diagnose, and provide individualized therapy to students with a range of speech and language disorders.

**Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities and provide appropriate diagnoses.
  • Develop individualized therapy plans based on each student's specific needs, incorporating both short-term and long-term goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication challenges, using evidence-based practices and interventions.
  • Foster a positive learning environment for students, making speech therapy a positive and enjoyable experience.

**Qualifications:*

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid PEL licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (Illinois)
