About the Role

Crimson Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Crossmedia Editor with experience in managing editorial teams and creating engaging content for our official gazette. As a key member of our Office for Communication, Politics and Society, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a city-wide official gazette, both in print and digital formats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and manage the editorial team for the official gazette, ensuring timely and high-quality content delivery.
  • Develop and implement an editorial plan, coordinating with internal and external editors to create engaging content.
  • Allocate content and determine article placement using an editorial system, ensuring a cohesive and informative publication.
  • Research, edit, and write articles on current topics in the city and its districts, highlighting key issues and initiatives.
  • Write press releases and create content for the city's website, representing the office in a professional and engaging manner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Cross-media/Public Relations, Media, or Communication Sciences, or a comparable field.
  • Alternatively, a degree in Humanities, Economics, or Social Sciences with a specialization in Journalism, ideally with a focus on cross-media, or an additional traineeship in editing/cross-media editing.
  • Experience in conceptualizing and planning publications, as well as press and public relations or official gazette editorial team management.
  • Advantageous: several years of professional experience as a journalist in a newspaper or magazine editorial team, online or broadcasting editorial team.
  • Knowledge in photography, video, and social media.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong interest in local political and social topics.
