Position Overview:
Are you enthusiastic about the legal field, particularly in trusts and estates? Do you have a background in drafting essential legal documents such as wills and trusts? Key Responsibilities:
As an Estate Paralegal, your duties will encompass but are not limited to:
- Supporting attorneys in the management of estates and trusts.
- Drafting and reviewing essential legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
- Conducting legal research and analysis pertinent to estate and trust management.
- Coordinating with clients, court officials, and other stakeholders involved in estate and trust matters.
- Organizing and maintaining client documentation and records.
- Preparing estate and inheritance tax submissions.
- Assisting with probate court filings and procedures.
- Providing general administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling and calendar management.
Qualifications:
To qualify for the Estate Paralegal position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- At least 5 years of experience as a paralegal specializing in trusts and estates.
- Thorough understanding of estate planning and probate regulations.
- Expertise in drafting and reviewing legal documents related to estate planning, including wills and trusts.
- Strong research and analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex legal concepts.
- Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Outstanding communication skills, able to effectively engage with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- A paralegal certification or equivalent is preferred.
