Antepartum Nurse Job Description

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled Antepartum Nurse to join our team at Lake Pointe Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse in our Antepartum Unit, you will provide high-quality care to patients with high-risk pregnancies, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized care to patients with high-risk pregnancies, including those with multiple gestations, preterm labor, and fetal distress.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, fetal heart rates, and other critical parameters to identify potential complications.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and document patient responses and outcomes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to discuss patient progress and develop plans for discharge or transfer to higher-level care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
  • At least 2 years of experience in labor and delivery or antepartum nursing.
