Utility Scale Development Leader

We are seeking a skilled Utility Scale Development Leader to manage activities surrounding the procurement, management, and oversight of external and internal resources required to develop utility-scale wind and/or solar energy projects. In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams, interpret technical engineering and environmental reports, and negotiate contracts.
The position's work scope will encompass the entire life cycle of a project from early-stage development to construction. You will be responsible for representing Apex Clean Energy with federal, state, and local officials, regulators, utilities, RTOs, and other stakeholders throughout the project development process.
- Provide reports to management including updates on project status and changes to regulations.
- Manage project financial models, project design and generation interconnection activities.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of development experience, preferably direct utility-scale wind or solar development experience. They should also have a solid track record in project management, contract negotiations, and knowledge of commercial wind & energy storage markets.
