Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize advanced skills to conduct intricate preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds.
  2. Monitor building system operations and performance with limited supervision.
  3. Employ various trade skills including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, roofing, and HVAC systems.

Essential Duties:

  1. Adhere to all relevant codes, regulations, and company directives regarding building operations and safety.
  2. Inspect systems such as fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure they operate within design specifications and meet client environmental conditions.
  3. Oversee and inspect the work of external contractors for services like landscaping, snow removal, and HVAC maintenance.
  4. Perform emergency and preventive maintenance as assigned, maintaining accurate records of repairs.
  5. Evaluate work orders, estimate time and materials for repairs, and procure necessary supplies.
  6. Implement an energy management program to optimize system efficiency and minimize operating costs.
  7. Maintain the building's lighting system, including repairs and replacements.
  8. Execute welding, carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as required.
  9. Respond promptly to emergencies, coordinating additional assistance as necessary.
  10. Complete other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, along with a minimum of four years of relevant experience or trade school training. Universal CFC certification is preferred, along with additional certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or plumbing systems.

Communication Skills:

Strong ability to understand and interpret instructions, correspondences, and memos. Capable of writing routine reports and responding to inquiries from clients and colleagues.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and navigate various concrete variables with limited standardization.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and climbing.

Safety Responsibilities:

Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others affected by your work. Complete all required safety training and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
