Job Title: PLC Controls Engineer

Location: Eatontown, NJ

Job Summary:

We're seeking a skilled PLC Controls Engineer to design, develop, and maintain control systems for industrial processes. This includes working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs). As a key member of our team, you'll collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and troubleshoot PLC control systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
  • Develop software for HMIs to enable operators to control machines and processes.
  • Collaborate with other systems like SCADA and DCS to integrate control systems.
  • Test and debug software to ensure it meets specifications and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including user manuals and technical guides.
  • Provide support to clients during installation and startup of control systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and advancements in the field of industrial automation.
  • Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Control Engineering (or related field).
  • At least 2 years of experience with PLC programming and control systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming languages, including ladder logic.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols, such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, or Profibus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

  • Allen Bradley (RS Logix, Studio 5000)
  • Schneider Electric PLCs and Software
  • Automation Direct, GE/Emerson PLCs, Mitsubishi PLC Programming
  • SCADA systems, Kepware OPC, Siemens TIA Portal

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday (8-hour shifts)
