Job Title: PLC Controls Engineer

Location: Eatontown, NJ


Job Summary:

We're looking for a PLC Controls Engineer to design, program, and maintain control systems for industrial processes. This includes working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs). You'll be part of a team, helping create efficient and reliable systems for our clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and troubleshoot PLC control systems.
  • Create software for HMIs to allow operators to control machines.
  • Work with other systems like SCADA and DCS.
  • Test and debug software.
  • Create and maintain documentation like user manuals.
  • Support clients during installation and startup.
  • Stay updated on new technology in the field.
  • Work with project managers and engineers to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets.


Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Control Engineering (or related field).
  • At least 2 years of experience with PLC programming and control systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming languages like ladder logic.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, or Profibus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites.


Software/Hardware Knowledge (Bonus):

  • Allen Bradley (RS Logix, Studio 5000)
  • Schneider Electric PLCs and Software
  • Automation Direct, GE/Emerson PLCs, Mitsubishi PLC Programming
  • SCADA systems, Kepware OPC, Siemens TIA Portal


Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday (8-hour shifts)
