We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse LPN to join our dynamic team at OptumCare. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
  • Room patients, obtain health history, check vital signs, and perform EKGs to assess patient needs.
  • Administer injections and collect specimens to support diagnostic testing and treatment.
  • Document patient care using NextGen electronic medical record software to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
  • Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, and answer calls to provide seamless patient care.
  • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with minor, in-office procedures to support patient care and treatment.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Active, unrestricted LPN license in the state of Indiana
  • CPR certification
  • Additional healthcare certifications, including ARRT, CEHRS, CBCS, CMAA, CPT
  • EMR/EHR experience
  • Experience with NextGen medical record software
  • Experience with medical front office and back office duties, including vitals, phlebotomy, injections, casting/splinting, administering medications, referrals, prior authorizations, and insurance verifications
