Job Title: Registered Nurse

Supervised by: Clinical Site Manager

Weekly Hours: Full-Time

Overview of Responsibilities: Provides comprehensive patient care within the clinical environment. Collaborates with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure effective patient management. Acts as a primary contact for patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Key Responsibilities: Operates both independently and as part of a team:

1. Engages with clinical, administrative, and billing teams, as well as patients and their families, to guarantee seamless care delivery.

2. Exhibits proficient communication skills (both written and verbal) to articulate the physical, mental, and emotional conditions of patients and their families.

3. Diligently completes and maintains accurate medical records and documentation.

4. Conducts telephone triage following established protocols.

5. Provides general nursing care to patients, demonstrating effective time management practices.

6. Ensures the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and laboratory areas. Prepares, stocks, and sanitizes rooms while managing supplies and equipment for patient treatment.

7. Administers and documents medications, vaccines, and treatments as required.

8. Continuously enhances skills and knowledge through reading, training, and structured in-service programs.

9. Participates in clinical meetings as scheduled.

10. Conducts oneself in accordance with the organization's employee manual.

11. Upholds the highest standards of confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current RN License
Skills and Experience:

1. Familiarity with approved medical abbreviations and proficient spelling in English.

2. Ability to work effectively with challenging patients, including those with psychosocial issues or chronic and acute health conditions.

3. Flexibility to adapt to various job assignments.

4. Strong customer service skills and excellent telephone etiquette.

5. Previous experience with computer systems is advantageous.

Work Environment: Ability to function in an environment with potential exposure to hazardous or infectious materials, necessitating adherence to extensive safety protocols, with possible adjustments to hours based on business needs.

Physical Requirements: Capability to engage in moderate physical activity, which may include lifting children or objects (up to 50 pounds) or standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Prolonged telephone use may be necessary.
