Job Summary:

The Medical Technologist (ASCP) plays a critical role in delivering accurate and timely patient test results for diagnosis and management of human illness. Utilizing automation, computerization, and manual methods, this position is responsible for quality control, instrument operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Handling blood, tissue, fecal matter, sputum, urine, spinal fluid, and other bodily fluids, this role may involve specimens contaminated with infectious diseases, including HIV and other blood-borne pathogens.

Requirements:

Associate's Degree in Applied Sciences (Required)MLT - Medical Laboratory Technologist Certification - American Society for Clinical Pathology

MLT (ASCP) certification requires a two-year field of study in applied science or medical laboratory technology, including an MLT internship in a laboratory or formal military experience followed by successful completion of the Board of Registry examination of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. ASCP or equivalent certifying organization.
