Surgery Scheduler Job Description

At Atlas Neurosurgery And Spine Center, we are seeking a skilled Surgery Scheduler to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule surgeries for multiple physicians, adhering to established guidelines and ensuring timely coordination with surgical facilities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering phones professionally and maintaining open communication with surgical facilities and physicians regarding schedule changes.
  • Coordinate preoperative clearances and evaluations, as well as peer-to-peer evaluations in real-time, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date daily surgical schedule, distributing it as necessary to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations for surgeries, promoting efficient and compliant scheduling practices.
  • Support the front office as needed, contributing to a cohesive and effective work environment.

Requirements:

  • Ability to schedule procedures accurately and efficiently, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
