Montana State University is seeking a qualified individual to provide instruction and related functions as a non-tenurable level faculty member. The successful candidate will teach classes depending on need and available funding.
Key Responsibilities- Teach a seminar course of approximately 15-18 students.
- Attend faculty meetings to discuss course materials and teaching pedagogy.
- Work with student mentors and their corresponding program, including supervisory duties and regular meetings.
- Hold regular office hours and meet with students as needed.
- Participate in program and university assessment.
- Master's degree in the appropriate field with academic background commensurate with teaching.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse students and colleagues.
- Academic or professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience teaching interdisciplinary courses.
- Commitment to student, faculty, and staff diversity.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to relate to, mentor, and inspire students.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including collaboration with faculty and staff.
- Commitment to quality teaching and engaging pedagogy.
- Ability to work independently and in a group setting.
- Dedication to supporting and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusiveness.
