This role involves significant travel and is designed for individuals with extensive expertise in the construction methodologies associated with electrical substations, transmission lines, and renewable energy systems, including solar and wind technologies. The Warranty & Commissioning Project Supervisor may occasionally assume the responsibilities of a Construction Manager, overseeing subcontractor activities and managing material logistics on-site.

The Warranty & Commissioning Supervisor plays a critical role within the organization, being available around the clock to address warranty-related emergencies. Responsibilities include managing client inquiries, troubleshooting claims, and overseeing all aspects of commissioning activities, which encompass client training and relationship management for EPC Services projects nationwide. This position necessitates a travel commitment of at least 80%.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in direct discussions with clients to address issues, propose solutions, and coordinate repair timelines.
  • Provide field support for electrical apparatus testing, protective relay settings, and functional verification of control systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality assurance, and environmental compliance.
  • Report project-specific matters to the Project Manager and general installation practices to the Manager of Warranty & Commissioning.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with switching certification and a minimum of five years of experience in transmission line or substation construction. A comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and best practices is essential to ensure a secure working environment for all personnel and subcontractors. Candidates must be adept at interpreting technical documentation and equipment manuals, familiar with IEEE standards, and possess strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in various computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, is required, with knowledge of Vista ERP software considered advantageous. Candidates must also be eligible to drive company vehicles and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status.
