Electrical Project Manager and Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager and Estimator to join our team at Trotter Workforce. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical estimating and project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed estimates from quantity take-off on projects and complete them to a high standard.
  • Review proposal documents, specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
  • Evaluate potential areas for value engineering cost savings.
  • Participate in pre-construction interviews and scope reviews with clients either on site or at their office.
  • Prepare detailed listings of material and equipment items for the estimate and obtain quotes from vendors.
  • Create proposal letters for bid and negotiate projects.
  • Complete accurate and timely project Submittals, Change Orders, RFI's, and GC Communication.
  • Ensure projects are running safely, effectively, and on schedule.
  • Track project costs throughout the project to achieve project budget/cash flow.
  • Ensure quality control throughout the project.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical estimating or managing electrical construction projects.
  • Experience with electrical bidding software (EBM) and PDF viewers. CAD experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using a computer and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A degree in engineering or construction management is a plus. Project experience must include commercial electrical construction projects.
  • The ability to create, maintain, and amend construction schedules as needed.
  • The ability to participate and manage in a team-fostered environment.
  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and change priorities as necessary.
  • The ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
  • A highly motivated individual with outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to undergo a drug screen.
  • Eligibility to work in the US.
