Job Summary:

Motion Recruitment Partners LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Engineering Director to lead our cloud engineering efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of cloud-based solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize cloud-based projects
  • Develop and maintain cloud security and compliance policies and procedures
  • Ensure the effective use of cloud-based technologies to drive business growth and innovation
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering and leadership
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on large-scale computing solutions
  • Deep understanding of cloud security, networking principles, and container orchestration
  • Strong background in Agile/Lean methodologies and automation principles
  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of relevant experience, or master's degree with 3 years of experience
  • AWS Solution Architect Associate certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial services sector
  • Proficiency in Linux operating systems
  • Expertise in cloud security, compliance, and controls
  • Strong knowledge of cloud networking, including VPCs, firewalls, and secure gateways
  • Experience with containerization and Kubernetes
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and DevOps principles
