Ambulatory Care Nurse

The Staff LPN Ambulatory is responsible for providing direct patient care under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider in an ambulatory care setting. This role involves rooming patients, obtaining vitals, administering medications in-office, performing point of care lab testing, assisting with procedures and triaging patient phone calls.
Responsibilities
- Provides general nursing services to patients under the supervision of a physician or other licensed provider within the scope of practice for the LPN.
- Follows HIPAA, CLIA, OSHA, Medication Management and Infection Prevention procedures for cleaning and sterilization of equipment and/or instruments.
- Performs clinical skills, such as phlebotomy, EKGs, point of care testing and medication administration.
- Assists with medical office procedures.
- Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains accurate and prompt charting in the patient's record.
- Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED - Nursing
- No Experience Required
- Licensed Practical Nurse License Required
- Associate or Trade School Equivalency Preferred
Salary Range
$45,000 - $65,000 per year based on experience
