About the Role and Tennova Healthcare:

  • The Patient Care Technician (PCT) operates under the guidance of the Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, or Staff LPN, delivering essential patient care in accordance with Tennova Healthcare - Cleveland's established protocols.
  • Care is customized to meet the unique needs of patients, considering their age and developmental stage.
  • Demonstrates teamwork, flexibility, and ingenuity when engaging with patients, families, medical professionals, and hospital personnel.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. is required, with documentation to be provided upon hiring.
  • Preference is given to candidates with at least one year of experience as a nursing assistant.
  • Experience in patient care for a minimum of one year is preferred.
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant or enrollment in an accredited nursing program is desirable.
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) must be obtained within six months of employment if not already current.
