As a key member of our Echocardiology team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac echocardiography procedures with precision and accuracy. Your expertise will be essential in evaluating patients of all ages, utilizing established protocols and techniques. You will work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. Your role will also involve coordinating patient flow, maintaining equipment, and exercising professional judgment to optimize patient satisfaction. Additionally, you may be required to perform other cardiology procedures in various modalities based on departmental needs. Essential Duties & Functions:
1. Perform echocardiography procedures of diagnostic quality as ordered by the referring physician and/or cardiologist on patients of all ages according to established protocols and evaluate.
2. Obtain clinical history and data for correlation with the procedure.
3. Perform QC as required.
4. Coordinate patient care with other areas in order to optimize patient time and satisfaction.
5. Assess learning needs and educate patients/families regarding procedures based on individual needs. Thoroughly educate patients about exam.
6. Ensure that all records, files and reports are properly recorded as required, perform clerical duties when necessary, verify a signed physician order is received and corresponds with the billed procedure.
