About the Role

As a Robotics AI Developer, you'll work closely with software, hardware, and robotics teams to create algorithms for perception, navigation, manipulation, and autonomous behavior. Your primary focus will be on developing and optimizing AI models for object detection, path planning, obstacle avoidance, and decision-making. You'll leverage machine learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning techniques to enhance robotic intelligence and enable robots to interact intelligently with their surroundings.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. AI Model Development: Design and implement AI models for robotic systems using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras. Focus on applications in robotics and develop algorithms for object detection, path planning, and obstacle avoidance.
  2. Computer Vision and Perception: Integrate computer vision algorithms for perception, recognition, and scene understanding. Enable robots to interpret visual data and interact effectively with their environment.
  3. Autonomous Navigation and Path Planning: Design algorithms that allow robots to navigate dynamic environments autonomously. Work on SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), path planning, and motion control for safe and efficient movement.
  4. Adaptive Behavior and Reinforcement Learning: Use reinforcement learning and other adaptive algorithms to enable robots to learn from experience and improve performance. Create systems that can self-optimize and respond to new tasks and challenges.
  5. Real-Time Performance Optimization: Adapt and compress AI models for deployment on embedded or edge computing platforms. Ensure that models run efficiently on hardware-constrained robotic systems.
  6. System Integration and Testing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration and testing. Conduct rigorous testing in simulation and real-world environments to validate AI model performance and troubleshoot issues.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed as a Robotics AI Developer, you'll need:

  • Proficiency in Machine Learning and Deep Learning: Extensive experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks, particularly for applications in robotics.
  • Computer Vision Expertise: Strong knowledge of computer vision techniques and experience with OpenCV or similar libraries.
  • Reinforcement Learning and Adaptive Systems: Familiarity with reinforcement learning algorithms and experience working with adaptive systems.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python and C++ for AI development and real-time deployment.
  • Embedded and Edge Computing Knowledge: Experience optimizing and deploying AI models on edge devices for real-time robotic applications.
Education and Experience

We're looking for candidates with a strong educational background in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications or coursework in machine learning, AI, or robotics are also advantageous.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in AI or machine learning engineering, with a focus on robotics or autonomous systems, is required. Experience with robotic operating systems like ROS (Robot Operating System) and simulation environments like Gazebo is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
