This role involves working in various laboratory environments, including off-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
Key Responsibilities:The Clinical Laboratory Specialist is responsible for a wide array of laboratory tasks, including but not limited to:
- Conducting comprehensive laboratory tests and procedures.
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies in test results using scientific methods.
- Preparing and maintaining laboratory reagents and equipment.
- Performing quality control and assurance activities to ensure accurate test performance.
- Adhering to bio safety and bio security regulations.
- Communicating effectively with healthcare team members and providing exceptional service to patients and providers.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, Midnight to 8:00 AM, with rotating holidays and weekends.
Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and proficient in English. Candidates may be subject to a background investigation and must complete an online onboarding process. Participation in seasonal influenza and COVID-19 vaccination programs is mandatory for all healthcare personnel.Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science or a related field, along with completion of an accredited clinical practice program. Certification as a Medical Technologist is required. Experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
