Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Welding Specialist to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. As a Senior Welding Specialist, you will be responsible for applying advanced welding techniques to join, surface, fabricate, or repair parts of metal or other materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, or repair parts of metal or other materials that require welding.
  • Work from blueprints, engineering sketches, charts, or work orders to ensure accurate and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Lay out and mark points on parts or subassemblies using precision instruments and tools.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced welders and serve as a team leader as needed.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures and protocols.
  • Participate in special projects and contribute to the development of new processes and techniques.

Requirements:

  • US Citizenship
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Technical or vocational training in welding or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in welding or a related field
