Position comments:
Onsite role, 2nd Shift is 430p-3a with weekends. OT NEEDED.
10-hour shifts 5 days a week and 2 Saturdays a month

Job Overview:

The Material Handling Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations related to the management, storage, and transportation of materials within the organization. This position is essential for ensuring that materials are handled efficiently and safely.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership and Oversight:
    Supervise the activities of material handlers and other relevant personnel, ensuring effective coordination with production and logistics teams.
  2. Safety Management:
    Implement and uphold safety standards to maintain a secure working environment, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  3. Operational Efficiency:
    Identify opportunities for process enhancements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize material handling operations.
  4. Documentation:
    Maintain precise records of material transactions, including receipts and shipments, and generate reports to track performance metrics.
  5. Equipment Oversight:
    Ensure that all material handling equipment is properly maintained and coordinate necessary repairs.
  6. Training:
    Provide training and support to new team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in material handling or logistics.
  • Knowledge of material handling equipment and techniques.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management or related fields.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Working Environment:
  • This position is based in a manufacturing setting.
  • May require flexibility in work hours, including weekends.
  • Physical demands may include lifting and moving heavy materials.

Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
