Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Afterschool Bus Driver to join our team at the YMCA of Metro Atlanta. As a key member of our youth program team, you will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation to and from program sites, while maintaining a positive and supportive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and reliable transportation to and from program sites
  • Maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals
  • Under the direction of the Afterschool Director, implement safety standards during routes
  • Have a good understanding of the mission and values of the Y and be able to demonstrate and teach from those values
  • Pass a criminal background check and drug screening
  • Pass a driving record check to drive for the Y
  • Attend the YMCA of Metro Atlanta defensive Driving Course
  • Attend staff training
  • CPR within 30 days of employment and maintain throughout employment
Requirements
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Provide sound, caring and positive leadership for youth
  • Recognize and implement safety standards during route
  • Have a good understanding of the mission and values of the Y and be able to demonstrate and teach from those values
  • Pass a criminal background check and drug screening
  • Pass a driving record check to drive for the Y
  • Attend the YMCA of Metro Atlanta defensive Driving Course
  • Attend staff training
  • CPR within 30 days of employment and maintain throughout employment
Working Conditions

The Afterschool Bus Driver will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with children, parents, and staff. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and customer service.
