Job Summary

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at Marshall Medical Center's outpatient clinics collaborates with medical caregivers to deliver timely, dignified, and caring medical care to all patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care to enable physicians to provide high-quality care while maximizing their ability to see patients in a timely manner.
• Monitor patients for preventative care needs and provide nursing care according to Marshall Medical Center's standard of practice.
• Maintain good public relations by interacting with patients, visitors, physicians, and other staff members in a friendly and professional manner.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Current CA Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of experience practicing as an LVN preferred.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
• Must have injection skills, phlebotomy skills, EKG experience, and medication administration skills.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, patient/family health education, instrument sterilization techniques, and taking vital signs also required.

Additional Responsibilities

• Comfortable with regularly verifying and processing insurance eligibility and obtaining authorization requests, including verifying personal credentials with external partners to obtain this information.
