Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Clinic Support Specialist to join our team at Marshall Medical Center. As a Medical Clinic Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continuity of patient care and contributing to the overall success of our medical clinics.

Responsibilities

The Medical Clinic Support Specialist will be responsible for preparing patients for their examination/visit, assisting providers as needed, completing medication refills, lab result follow-ups, referrals to specialists, patient callbacks, ordering medical supplies, and cleaning/sterilizing medical equipment and exam rooms.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • To qualify for Medical Assistant 2: Current Medical Assistant (MA) certification from the California Certified Medical Assistant Board (CCMA) or the National American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) required or an approved certifying body required.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for individuals with previous experience with injections, EKG's, medication administration, and/or taking vital signs. A basic understanding of medical terminology, patient/family health education, and electronic medical record (EMR) experience is also required.
