Job Summary:

The CT Technologist PRN position at TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our diagnostic imaging department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT scans with precision and attention to detail, ensuring the highest level of customer service and image quality.
  • Prepare procedure trays with the necessary supplies and take patient history to retrieve any required orders or prior images.
  • Provide patient history and signs/symptoms to the radiologist and complete documentation accurately.
  • Coordinate patient flow and check the daily list to ensure all exams are completed.
  • Support ALARA principles and inform patients about procedures, answering any questions they may have.
  • Interact and professionally communicate with physicians, patients, and family members, starting IVs for contrast administration and using the power injector as needed.
  • Contribute to after-hour coverage through on-call shift rotations and maintain all licenses, certifications, and accreditations required for the role.
  • Handle daily upkeep of departmental work areas, promoting customer service initiatives by adhering to the ICARE values.
  • Support and participate in quality (QI) and performance improvement (PI) plans, complying with quarterly targeted metrics.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Current ARRT certification with advanced registry, or registry eligible with advanced CT certification within 1 year of hire or within 6 months of eligibility.
  • 1 year post-graduate experience preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
