About the Job

KurzSolutions is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment to patients, manage and direct psychiatric services, and conduct intake evaluations on a routine and emergency basis.

Responsibilities
  • Perform psychiatric evaluations and treatment
  • Manage and direct psychiatric services
  • Conduct intake evaluations on a routine and emergency basis
  • Prepare and review case histories and obtain and evaluate data through interviews
  • Prescribe and evaluate the effectiveness of a wide range of therapeutic measures
  • Integrate findings and formulate clinical information to establish a diagnosis
  • Determine the appropriate treatment setting and provide a variety of treatment modalities
  • Refer, coordinate, and facilitate inpatient admissions for admission to psychiatric or partial hospitalization facilities
  • Provide psychiatric consultation to mental health flight providers and other medical providers
  • Provide psychiatric liaison services for active-duty military patients hospitalized in an inpatient psychiatric facility
Requirements
  • Master's or doctoral degree in nursing
  • Graduate from an academic program in the nursing specialty field of study accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
  • Hold and maintain BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association or client guidelines
  • Certified in the specialty as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate
  • At least 5 years' experience working in a mental health clinic
  • Board Certification: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
  • Maintain an active, valid, current, and unrestricted license to practice nursing as a Nurse Practitioner from any state or territory of the United States or the District of Columbia
  • Ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance
