Position Overview

This role offers a $15,000 commitment incentive, distributed over a three-year employment period, with equal payments made after every six months of service.

Role Summary :
Perform MRI procedures and assessments to gather and interpret patient diagnostic information.

Work Schedule : Friday through Sunday, 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM

Key Responsibilities :
1. Patient Interaction - Uphold professional standards, confirm patient identity, gather medical history, and provide assistance to patients and their families. Ensure patient comprehension and safety, particularly for those of childbearing age.
2. MRI Operations - Exhibit proficiency in MRI technology and human anatomy. Operate MRI machines competently, administer MRI contrast, and manage associated equipment. Maintain ARRT certification by completing necessary continuing education. Interpret protocols and select suitable scanning parameters while collaborating with colleagues to troubleshoot equipment and procedural issues.
3. Contrast Administration - Provide oral contrast to patients as per established protocols, establish IV lines, and administer IV contrast while adhering to safety protocols. Verify eligibility for contrast and check lab values prior to administration.
4. Image Management - Possess a comprehensive understanding of PACS, ensuring accurate image transmission to quality control and electronic medical records. Verify and segment images, manage orders efficiently, and ensure accurate billing information.
5. Additional Duties - Complete tasks promptly, manage scheduling for consistent workflow, engage in challenging procedures and research, produce high-quality diagnostic images, and maintain a tidy work environment. Document incidents for departmental improvement and mentor new staff and students.

Additional Information

Educational Requirements:
● Completion of an accredited Radiological Science program or expected completion within three months of application.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or eligibility for registration. Candidates must provide proof of completion from an accredited program.
● Advanced MR certification required within one year of employment.
● Successful candidates must achieve registration within one year and maintain annual continuing education.
● All imaging professionals must keep current certification in HCP BLS.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● Relevant education, training, and experience necessary to perform assigned duties.
