Job Summary:The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a physician, licensed practical nurse, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care, monitor health conditions, plan long-term care needs, administer medications, and use medical equipment. Key Responsibilities:- Explain procedures and treatments to patients to gain cooperation and understanding.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
- Prepare equipment and assist the physician during treatment and examination.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, and protocols.
- Document nursing history and physical assessment for assigned patients.
- Develop patient education plans according to individualized needs.
- Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgery.
- Assist in surgery by handing items to the surgeon or other medical practitioner.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) with a valid Missouri Nursing License.
- Three years of experience in ambulatory care or experience in Women's Health, pediatric, or public health setting desirable.
Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
