Position Purpose: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a crucial role in delivering support services that assist clients with their personal care, mobility, and therapeutic needs, as determined by qualified health professionals. Employment Status: Non-Exempt

Compensation: $24.00 per hour, with variations based on experience:
  • CNA 3-5 Years: $18 - $20
  • CNA 6-10 Years: $20 - $22
  • CNA 10+ Years: $22 - $24

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students with daily living activities and personal care.
  • Exhibit proficiency in executing the skills outlined in the care plan.
  • Deliver health care tasks and personal hygiene services essential for client well-being.
  • Support clients with mobility and transfers.
  • Collaborate with educators to facilitate student learning and provide constructive feedback.
  • Offer companionship through conversation and engagement.
  • Supervise students during breaks and assist in community activities.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information.
  • Implement behavior management strategies as directed by supervisors.
  • Report any changes in client condition as per care plan guidelines.
  • Adhere to HIPAA privacy regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • State certification or licensure as required.
  • Preferred one year of relevant experience.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Recent Tuberculosis (TB) test.
  • Understanding of child development principles.
  • Ability to coordinate services among home, school, and community resources.
  • Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Work Environment:
  • Occasional exposure to environmental allergens.
  • Physical demands include frequent movement, lifting up to 50 lbs, and various physical activities.
  • Normal vision and hearing capabilities are required.
  • Noise levels may vary from moderate to high.
