Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our Sarcoma Program. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will provide exceptional patient-centered care and support to patients and families affected by sarcoma.
Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs, and develop a plan of care to address their unique needs.
- Collaborate with the inter-disciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and coordinate with other clinical resources as needed.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment options, and symptom management.
- Provide direct patient care, including education, telephone and email symptom triage, dressing changes, medication administration, and injections.
- Coordinate with research teams to ensure patients on trial receive optimal care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license or multistate RN license.
- Current BLS AHA Health Provider Card (or equivalent course).
- Additional certification may be required dependent upon department.
- Critical thinking and clinical judgment skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide excellent patient care.
- BSN prepared nurse.
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) or BMT RN.
- 2 years of oncology nursing experience.
- Previous telephone triage experience.
- Previous outpatient clinic experience.
