The Pipefitting Supervisor will oversee a team of three or more workers, ensuring effective execution of trades and labor tasks. A fundamental requirement is possessing the necessary expertise and understanding of the trades performed by the team to fulfill the responsibilities outlined below. This role also involves participating in hands-on work alongside the crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate instructions from management to team members and initiate work by assigning specific tasks.
  • Collaborate with the team to establish a productive work pace.
  • Exhibit and teach proper work techniques.
  • Ensure availability of essential plans, materials, and tools, and procure necessary supplies.
  • Resolve issues by obtaining information or decisions from management as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and assist team members with procedural and policy inquiries.
  • Guarantee that all crew members have sufficient tasks to remain engaged.
  • Monitor work progress to ensure adherence to instructions and deadlines.
  • Guide team members in following management directives and achieving project timelines.
  • Enforce safety and cleanliness protocols.
  • Report on work status and any delays to project managers.
  • Address inquiries from management regarding overall operations and challenges.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in pipefitting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of piping blueprints, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Strong understanding of various craft blueprints.
  • In-depth knowledge of plumbing and piping systems.
  • Excellent communication abilities and professional interaction skills with colleagues and clients.
  • Capability to supervise multiple team members.
  • Proficient in project scheduling and deadline management.
  • Strong attention to detail.
